Hello! I am HELIN, Mark O. Helin (Marko Helin) in Turku, Finland.
I'm a Singer/songwriter, Performing Musician and an Author. My first book is a 58 page pictured storybook - Hippo ja Valas. In english A Hippo and a Whale.

I was born in Turku, Finland in november 1971. As a child I played accordion and piano. My father had played accordion all his life and we also had a piano in the house.
I got my first electric guitar at the age 12 and then the next year I got an accoustic guitar. I had drums in the house that I played freguently and a bass guitar. And a synthesizer keyboard.
However none of the musical instruments ever got me the greatest kicks. Creating something that had never been heard before got me the kicks. That's what I wanted to do.
So after recording my own riffs and chord progressions and made demoes with two or three cassette tape recorders, one recording and two playing, plus adding some sounds along in my bedroom I began to record music with a sampling drum machine, a mixer and a four track recorder. And man, did I just love that! ...And yeah, guys! That was in the 80´s.
Months and years and even decades went by and I just loved to record and create a new song after another.
Then I stopped and paused and got a reality check; What the F..k??!! Suddenly it hit me: I was a middle-aged overweight man, married with three kids and in dept up to my neck.
I had hundreds of songs that nobody knew about. I thought the world needs to hear them. So I released some of them independently on cd's in 2010 and on.
In 2022 those songs are released digitally.
And still there are new songs coming one after another.
